Article Processing Charges
Literature, Culture and Society strives to keep its process of publication transparent, along with any related policies concerning publication fees. Depending on the business strategy of the publisher, the journal operates according to either a No Article Processing Charge (No APC) policy or an Article Processing Charge (APC) policy.
The publication fees are communicated to authors prior to the beginning of the publication process. In case the No APC policy is used, no fees are collected for manuscript submission, manuscript evaluation, peer review, and publication.
This helps achieve equal access to scientific publications and allows researchers from different institutions and countries to publish their works regardless of financial resources.
If an APC policy is applied, publication fees cover all expenses related to the editorial work, peer review, production, hosting, preservation, and distribution of articles. The presence of the publication fees does not affect the process of making the decision on acceptance or rejection of the article.
